ARCAUSE MADLA Fellowship

Ar. Gaurav Chordia was awarded the 'Arcause Fellowship 2022-23 for Madla, Madhya Pradesh' by Ethos Foundation.

The objective of the maiden fellowship was to develop holistic guidelines and standards for the housing typologies in Madla village; to improve the built environment and resilience to the impacts of climate change, thereby also creating a local identity. This fellowship was conducted under the mentorship of Team Hunnarshala.

The booklet explores the unique aspects of Madla and proposes alternative solutions for current challenges related to building construction resulting in a shift to modern building practices by the local people.

 

This fellowship effectively captured the essence of Madla & its identity.
